Albert, double Albert and belt styles
A single Albert runs from the watch, through a buttonhole, and stops at a T-bar. A double Albert adds a second length on the far side, usually finishing in a small clip or a fob, so the chain is visible across both sides of the waistcoat. A belt-clip style swaps the T-bar for a clasp that fastens to a belt loop or a trouser pocket, which is what most people actually use now that waistcoats are occasional dress rather than daily.
Matching a chain to a watch
